This past March we celebrated our fifth anniversary, and what an incredible journey we’ve been on. At this five-year milestone we’ve reached a point in the companies life where it’s valuable to reassess what’s next and it is with a heavy heart that we’ve decided to close this chapter of Mozawa.
Collaboration defines the action of working together to create something, and Mozawa has been a true creation of love, joy, passion and dreaming. We’ve created and collaborated in more ways than we thought possible.
To celebrate and commemorate all the fabulous work we have created over the past five years, we have a special opportunity for all artists and friends of Mozawa.
In August, we will feature a Summer Intensive Collaborative Training Program. After spending five years experimenting and collaborating, we feel it’s important to give back by teaching the ‘art of collaborating’ to a new group of artists.
This intensive will culminate in a final Mozawa performance on August 25th at the same Wicker Park dance studio that brought us life five years ago for our Fallen Workshop.
